Designed for practitioners who already hold an appropriate regulated Level 4 qualification, this advanced programme develops the scientific knowledge, professional judgement and practical competence required to deliver advanced microneedling and medium-grade chemical peel procedures safely and effectively.

This is more than a short treatment course. It is an Ofqual-regulated occupational qualification comprising 37 credits and six mandatory units, including two advanced practical units positioned at Level 6.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must be aged 18 or over and will normally need to hold one of the following:

• Qualifi Level 4 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice or an accepted equivalent

• Qualifi Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation, including AP301 Skincare to Support Aesthetic Procedures

• Qualifi Level 4 Diploma in Micropigmentation or an accepted equivalent

Learners must also hold current training in basic life support, anaphylaxis and choking in line with centre requirements.

Applicants whose first language is not English may need to provide evidence of English-language ability, normally IELTS 6 or an accepted equivalent.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

To achieve the Diploma, learners must successfully complete six mandatory units:

• Legal, Regulatory and Clinical Requirements for Aesthetic Practice – understanding and applying the legislation, regulation and clinical requirements relevant to safe and compliant aesthetic practice

• Professional, Ethical and Sustainable Principles within Aesthetic Practice – developing professional standards, ethical decision-making and responsible, sustainable working practices

• Working Collaboratively with Healthcare and Other Professionals – understanding effective multidisciplinary working and when to communicate, collaborate or refer to other competent professionals

• Advanced Skin Science for Aesthetic Practice – developing advanced knowledge of pathology, biochemistry, biophysics, anatomy, physiology and skin morphology relevant to aesthetic procedures

• Advanced Aesthetic Procedures: Microneedling – developing the knowledge and professional skills required to assess suitability and safely perform advanced microneedling procedures on the face, neck and body

• Advanced Aesthetic Procedures: Chemical Peels – developing the knowledge and professional skills required to assess suitability and safely perform medium-grade chemical peel procedures on the face, chest and backs of the hands

The microneedling and chemical peel units are positioned at Level 6, adding valuable higher-level practical content within the Level 5 Diploma.

HOW WILL I LEARN?

The qualification is delivered through a flexible blended-learning approach designed to fit around work, family and existing professional commitments.

Learners complete supported theory and coursework from home alongside regular tutor-led sessions and practical training at our purpose-designed Bristol training centre.

Our classes are kept intentionally small, with a maximum of six learners overall. This allows time for questions, meaningful feedback and personalised tutor guidance. Practical and clinical sessions are delivered in accordance with Qualifi requirements, providing close supervision and opportunities to develop confidence and competence.

You will receive regular tutor contact and structured support throughout your qualification. You will not simply be given coursework and left to complete the programme alone.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Assessment may include:

• Short-answer and multiple-choice questions

• Written assignments and professional documentation

• Case studies and treatment evidence

• Practical observations and competency assessments

• Professional discussion

• Portfolio evidence demonstrating knowledge, professional practice and practical ability

All required learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be successfully achieved. Assessments are internally marked and quality assured by the centre and are subject to external quality assurance by Qualifi before certification.

Successful completion of the Qualifi Level 5 Diploma can support progression to:

• Qualifi Level 6 Certificate or Diploma in Aesthetic Practice
